Mike Holifield

Founder & Investment Advisor Representative

Growing up as one of three children to a single mother in Flint, Michigan, I learned at an early age that financial struggles are real and can have a serious impact on a person’s quality of life. When I was young and financially challenged, I decided that I wanted to obtain financial freedom. So, I dedicated myself to academics and athletics. This focus led to the opportunity to study at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Upon graduation with a Bachelor of Science, I had the privilege of leading Soldiers during multiple combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During my military service, I achieved numerous awards and decorations including a Bronze Star and the coveted Ranger Tab.

After my military service, I was fortunate to serve in various executive level positions at large and small companies in both the private and public sectors. During my time in corporate America, I attended classes at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan where I earned my MBA.

My passion lies in helping others and working to make our world a better place. I believe strongly that working with others so that they may obtain financial freedom directly supports my goals and objectives. I am happily married to the love of my life and my high school sweetheart, Sherry. In our free time we enjoy being outdoors, exercising, contributing to charitable endeavors, and spoiling our amazing nieces and nephews.

Like most of us, I grew up with a limited understanding around financial freedom. It was not something that we talked about openly at home. Since I was 15, I had to work very hard for money. Over time I was exhausted, unfulfilled and getting sick. I decided that I wanted my money to work hard for me and not the other way around. I began learning about what it takes to obtain financial flexibility and then implemented actionable steps based on what I had learned. I realized that I didn’t just want to retire well, but I also wanted to live well until retirement. This led me on a journey of self-discovery and a realization as to what I really wanted in life, both personally and professionally.

I am grateful for my degree from Indiana University, my time as a designer in the corporate world, and my opportunity living abroad. I have a passion to help others live their best quality of life, whether that be financial, health or spiritual. I love learning, working on various streams of income and meeting new people. I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews, hiking with friends, and exploring Northern Michigan and the world with my husband. I am addicted to personal growth and helping others through my church service as well as other charitable organizations.
